Press Release Body = ANAHEIM, CA, June 19, 2007 -- Sharp is providing customers with multiple options for crystal-clear commercial displays at InfoComm 2007, including the world's first under $20,000 Manufacturer's Suggested List Price (MSLP) 6000 Lumen DLP® 3 chip professional projector, an expanded line of DLP projectors, as well as flat-panel LCD monitors and AQUOS LCD TVs for use in multimedia (data and video), digital signage and display applications. In addition to the new DLP 3 chip projector, Sharp will announce two BrilliantColorT DLP projectors and the company's first W-XGA BrilliantColor DLP projector, designed to provide enhanced colors and enriched images. Sharp is also unveiling new Conference/Classroom projectors optimized for meeting room and lecture hall installations. The company will introduce several new professional LCD monitors, in 52- and 65-inch screen sizes, for use in both landscape and portrait mode applications. Sharp will showcase its first AQUOS product designed to meet the specific needs of the professional market, along with the company's industry-leading, flat-panel AQUOS Liquid Crystal TVs in screen sizes ranging from 42- to 65- inches. Rounding out this comprehensive product suite for creating captivating digital displays, large-screen computer and video presentations, Sharp is demonstrating the company's leadership in LCD with a 4K x 2K LCD model, which offers over twenty-four million dots of information, versus the 6.2 million offered by 1080p resolution.

DLP 3 chip Professional Projector Sharp announces the introduction of the world's first 6000 Lumen DLP .7-inch XGA 3 chip Professional Projector, model XG-P610X, combining extensive projector features from Sharp with Texas Instruments' advanced 3 chip technology. This Installation/Integration projector represents the first in a family of 3 chip projectors from Sharp and is also the first in this brightness category for Sharp, breaking an industry barrier with unparalleled picture quality and brightness at an affordable and competitive price point. Combining high brightness, 2000:1 contrast ratio, XGA native resolution for detailed images, six lens options and redundant reliability through a dual-lamp lighting system, this projector is ideal for facilities that need a powerful, permanently-installed display device, including system integration, large venues, lecture halls, rental and staging, control centers, broadcast studios, flight control rooms and call centers.
BrilliantColor DLP Professional Projectors Designed for corporate and education markets, the new BrilliantColor projectors from Sharp (models PG-F320W, XG-F315X and PG-X310X) provide enhanced colors and enriched images, utilizing BrilliantColor's multi-color processing. The PG-F320W is the first BrilliantColor DLP projector from Sharp with full 720p Wide XGA resolution. The three projectors feature built-in DVI-I/HDCP (High Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) for a secure virtually noise-free digital connection and RS-232C connectivity so IT support departments can remotely check projector lamp life or provide operation support. The PG-F320W and XG-F315X add a built-in network connection with a RJ-45 LAN Connector for remote control and access by a Web browser for diagnostics and automatic e-mail of product status. With XGA native resolution, 3000 Lumens brightness and 2000:1 contrast ratio for high-image quality, these projectors are ideal for detailed, intricate presentations. The projectors also add UXGA (1600 x 1200) compatibility as well as HDTV/DTV compatibility for use with current and next-generation video technologies in addition to extensive connectivity.
Professional LCD Monitors Sharp is expanding its recently upgraded line of professional LCD monitors, with the introduction of two enhanced 65-inch models - the PN-G655U for landscape mode applications and the PN-G655RU for portrait mode applications - as well as a new 52-inch screen size (model PN-525U) designed for a variety of professional applications in both landscape and portrait. Also joining the professional LCD monitor lineup are the PN-G655UP, PN-G655RUP and PN-525UP with an integrated protective acrylic overlay for high traffic areas. To ensure reliable operation and backlight life, even in 24x7 operation, Sharp has optimized the internal cooling and backlight system, making it ideal for use in portrait mode. These monitors feature full 1920 x 1080 two-megapixel high-definition resolution and Sharp's proprietary Advanced Super View (ASV) panel for fast pixel response time on fast-moving images, high contrast ratios and brightness and 176-degree viewing angles so the monitors display a crisp picture that can be seen from virtually anywhere in the room.
Sharp is also showcasing its PN-465U 46-inch professional LCD monitor. The "future proof" PN-465U monitor has a full, two-megapixel 1920 x 1080 HD resolution with more than six million pixel elements for exceptionally accurate and precise image reproduction. For a superior picture in practically any lighting condition, the monitor features a 1700:1 contrast ratio and a 6ms response time for fast-moving images. The PN-465U is also available with an integrated protective overlay for use in high-traffic areas, as the model PN-465UP.
AQUOS for Professional Market Sharp is debuting the LC-42BT10U LCD TV, the company's first AQUOS product designed to meet the specific needs of the professional market. Boasting superior picture and brightness, the Full HD 1080p 42-inch AQUOS LCD TV is well suited to any commercial application requiring a built-in tuner and speakers, while adding the functionality of RS-232C control and DVI-I input. The LC-42BT10U's flexible array of input terminals includes dual HDMIT inputs, two HD component inputs and DVI-I. DVI-I ensures full compatibility with a PC, making the management of digital signage content hassle-free. In addition to commercial-friendly features including RS-232C control and DVI-I, the LC-42BT10U ships with the table stand removed from the carton. The stand is available as an optional accessory. The newly designed LC-42BT10U features a matte black cabinet and bottom-mounted speakers for wall mounting placement.
AQUOS LCD TVs Sharp is showcasing several AQUOS TVs, ranging in size from 42- up to 65-inches. The full line of Sharp LCD monitors and AQUOS LCD TVs have high image quality and ultra-reliability, making them ideal for digital signage and display applications in practically any setting. These Sharp LCD monitors and AQUOS TVs, with their high-resolution image quality and full complement of computer and video inputs, are compatible with almost any source, including HDTV and hi-resolution computer graphics. Home Theater DLP Front Projectors Sharp is displaying two home theater projectors with high image quality and contrast ratios for enhanced picture quality and viewing experience. The SharpVision® XV-Z20000 1080p DLP® front projector utilizes a single 1080p DMD chip from Texas Instruments to create one of the most spectacular images available in projection today. This 16:9 aspect ratio projector recreates a true widescreen viewing experience with a 12000:1 contrast ratio and 1000 ANSI Lumens. A powered iris switchover function gives the consumer enhanced control over brightness and contrast settings with the touch of a button on the remote control, providing flexibility in varying home theater environments with different lighting situations. The portable 720p HD XV-Z3100 projector features the 0.62\" DMD 1280 x 720 chip from Texas Instruments, which incorporates BrilliantColor technology and TrueVisionT image processing, for truer image quality with high brightness and vibrant color.
